This button is made of the natural corozo nut from South American rainforests.  The harvesting of the nut helps to retain the rainforests. The nut is sliced, shaped and polished for up to 48 hours.  The resulting button has an appealing lustre, and gains further character with age and handling.  Corozo has been used as a premium button material for over 100 years in Europe.
